Well, my noisy fan finally got to me and so I removed it from my system. Now the question is, is 5 cards too much for a for a ][+? I originally got the fan 'cause seven cards was making the interior too hot, but now I've pulled the printer card and integer basic card (bought when they were still $200 :-( ). All I've got now is the 16K ram card, applecat and 1200 upgrade, videx videoterm, and disk controller... in other words, a slightly smart dumb terminal for dialup. No. Or at least it hasn't killed my Apple yet. I have five cards in my Apple, 80 column, 16K ram, disk controller, modem, and printer, and my computer sit on my desk surrounded by a computer hutch, thus it gets next to non ventilation. The only problem I have with it is that the on/off switch is acting up so I fixed that problem by not turning off my computer, so far it has been on since mid February with no problems of over heating, knock on wood. > in other words, > a slightly smart dumb terminal for dialup.
