[comp.sys.apple] Franklin PS connections

leach@nyevax.CAS.ORST.EDU (Tom Leach) (08/24/88)

Hello, I have a Franklin power supply and an Apple II+ with a blown PS.
I would like to rewire the franklin supply to work on the apple but I don't
have the connector pinout. Does anyone have the diagram for the power connector
for a Franklin? There is some kind of short protection in the PS that prohibits
any voltage output unless there is a drain so I can't just hook up my meter and
read the voltages. The problem is, I don't want to hook the PS up to my apple
unless I know that the voltages are correct.

The connector is arranged like this...

			black	black
			yellow	red
			brown	orange

This is the view when looking at the connector end.

The connector looks something like...

			_________
bl bl
			|	|_
y r_

br o
			---------

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry folks, my previous posting had an incorrect reply-to address. It
should have been leach@nyevax.CAS.ORST.EDU NOT leach@nyevax.CAS.ORST.EDU.UUCP

Sorry for any bounces this caused.
