BACHELOR PARTY Did you enjoy ANIMAL HOUSE? Then you might like this one. It's mostly raunchy, occasionally funny, and always outlandish. Stars Tom Hanks, who was last seen in SPLASH, as the groom who is (somewhat reluctantly) thrown a bachelor party by his buddies, one of whom closely resembles Bluto from ANIMAL HOUSE. His bride-to-be, a society girl, is thrown a Bridal Shower by her disapproving parents. The main question in this movie seems to be, "Will the groom get laid by a hooker?" There are lots of them around, to be sure. Some of them even get sent (by a jealous ex-boyfriend) to the Bridal Shower where the blue-blooded women get red-faced. Now, I wouldn't pay $4.50 for this one, but if you have a chance to see it at bargain rates, go for it. It's diversionary and will get you out of the heat and into the air conditioning.
