>The current version of AppleWorks is 2.0. Claris Corp. had an upgrade offer. >It may still be in effect. If you have a IIgs, you may want to wait for >AppleWorks GS. 2.0 has mail merge, can use 3.5 disks, and is required for the Beagle Bros. Timeout enhancements. Actually the current version of AppleWorks is 2.1 and is free to all the present owners of vers 2.0. If you bought your 2.0 version when it came in an Apple Computer box, you'll have to send Claris Corporation your original disk and they will send you version 2.1 . You DON'T have to send any money with the disk, the upgrade is free. If you bought version 2.0 in a Claris box, you don't have to do anything, Claris will send you the 2.1 version without asking you (assumes you sent back the warrenty card, I think.) Version 2.1 corrects some bugs and adds some minor features. Of course, this new version makes all the add-on products such as the Beagle Bros' Timeout series obsolete. They must then be updated themselves. (Except for the last 3 that Beagle Bros put out, which are compatible with the new version.) proline: pro-novapple!daveharv uucp: {ihnp4, cbosgd, sdcsvax, nosc}!crash!pro-novapple!daveharv arpa: crash!pro-charlotte!pro-novapple!daveharv int: pro-charlotte!pro-novapple!daveharv Northern Virginia Apple Users Group >pro-novapple< 703-671-0416/300-2400 baud
