I don't know of any programmer's guides per se, but the Apple II User's
Guide in conjunction with Beneath Apple Prodos is very useful. If
you want to use Dos 3.3, APDA has an old Dos 3.3 Programmer's Manual
listed ($10) in its latest catalog. I still find the Apple II
Reference Manual that came with my original II+ occasionally
indispensable. (Why doesn't Apple include decent documentation
with its machines anymore?)

Perhaps what's being look for is _Applesoft Programmer's Reference_, published in 1987 (~$23). The 1987 _ProDOS 8 Technical Reference_ (with disk) ($30) and _BASIC Programming with ProDOS (1987, $30) might also be mentioned. They are available from APDA, and from Open-Apple (no handling or mailing charges from the latter [P.O. Box 11250, Overland Park, KS 66207]. ****DISCLAMER: My comments, etc., are my own shakey opinions ******** | Bruce P.
