As a GS owner, I most assuredly would love to see Apple move fast on the GS+ that we all "know" is coming. It's just a matter of when, I suppose. As a consumer, I've put off buying new equipment since I want to be part of the Apple standard, and would hate to be orphaned. As a consultant, I've felt it necessary to tell potential GS owners that be delaying their purchase, they might end up with a better system for the dollar value they have to spend in the end. As a stock holder of Apple, Inc., I want the company to make money for me by getting the best return of r&d v. price/performance on a generation of any computer they manufacture. But, as a part of the Apple Community, I'm proud to say that Apple has started to listen. I'm glad when folks like Keith Rollin are there. I'm sure that there's a lot of stuff he'd like to tell us if he could. Do I know it for certain? Well, perhaps not. We all have to wait. But's that how business is. So, if you want to flame, bitch, rant and rave, that's your own business. I don't think it's going to make much difference in the end. What we can do is make ourselves understood in what we want from Apple in the future. If, as Keith says, this does make it to the right people, then let's hope it doesn't fall upon deaf ears. I really believe that as a group, we have stronger buying force and persuasion than most. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Todd A. if indeed Keith and others are taking our messages to apple folks, then it is NOT true that flaming, etc will do no good - it HAS to make more difference than sitting around acting like we have to take what ever Apple wants to disk out - how can they expect to know what the users want if everyone keeps their opinions to theirselves? -- Larry W.
