Well, nothing like starting on something really late, so here is my questions: what is a good book, or book/disk combo for learning 6502 assembly? Recently, I put a 65C02 in my unenhanced IIe and have been running just fine with it, but I would think that there would be some differences in the assembly code of each, is this the case? Also, in case it helps, I am not unfamiliar with assembly in general (I took an IBM 370 assembly class last Spring and thought that it was rather interesting), but I do not know the Mini-assembler built into the II, so I would like to have some specific Apple IIe guide. Thanks in advance for the help. ---Mark Thacker ================================================================================ Mark Thacker Bitnet : MARK@UNTVAX or AC48@UNTVAX Graphics Lab Consultant THENET : NTVAXB::MARK or NTVAXB::AC48 (and student of CSCI at) Internet : MARK%ntvaxb.decnet@utadnx.cc.utexas.edu The University of North Texas SPAN : UTSPAN::UTADNX::NTVAXB::MARK ================================================================================

The book "Assembly Lines" by R. Wagner is excellent. I do not know if there is a revised version covering 65c02 opcodes available. -- Doug Reeder USENET: ...!tektronix!reed!douglas 10 Cyclopedia Square from BITNET: douglas@reed.UUCP Terminus City from ARPA: tektronix!reed!douglas@berkley Terminus,The Foundation Box 502 Reed College,Portland,OR 97202

At any rate, if you understand the rest of the upcodes, then the new 65c02 opcodes shouldn't cause any problems. -- fadden@zen.berkeley.edu [crashed] c60c-3aw@widow.berkeley.edu (Andy McFadden)
