II in a Mac was written by Randy Ubillos, the same fellow that wrote
Nibbles Away for the Apple II. He lives in the Raleigh N.C. area
and last I heard the pgm was handled by Computer Applications,
12813 Lindley Drive, Raleigh, N.C. 27614 919-846-1411. The company is
owned by Steve Pierce, both are friends of mine. Tell them I said Hi..

This is in response to the request for info on "][ in a Mac".. sorry to post
it to the net, but apparently my email response didn't make it through.

][ in a Mac "creates" a 128k Apple in the Mac RAM, and will run either DOS 3.3
or ProDOS based applications. A transfer utility is provided with it. It
requires a Mac with 512k or more, and it's not copy-protected, so it can be
installed on your hard disk. The program is actually quite good, as long as
you're willing to accept that you only get about 30%-40% of the "normal" Apple
speed, due to the heavy processing required.
(My definiton of "good" is that it does what the literature says it does, and
it's relatively bug-free. "Useful" is another category entirely.)

Is it Multifinder compatible? What comm cards does it emulate?
Will it run at 100% of an Apple ][ on a Mac ][?
Thanks for any info.
