Hello Keith,

My name is Don Aehl, I'm a college student at University of Wisconsin at
Milwaukee, and I've owned my Apple IIgs for about a year and a half.

I was really glad to hear that someone from Apple was connected to
Comp.sys.apple on netnews. I'm sure that you have received many suggestions
and questions from people on the net.

I have a specific suggestion regarding the Apple IIgs Imagewriter II Printer
setup file. It would be really nice if there was an option to select
double-strike. It would be really handy to be able to do this. Maybe it
should be even more generic, allowing user input so that it could have
triple or quadruple strike.

At the moment, I am using Multiscribe GS version 3.0, it has a "darker"
feature on its Printer setup file. Essentially, it replaces the color
option on the standard printer setup with a double-strike option.
I had transferred this setup file to my other disks, but now, I just got
a copy of the System Disk 3.2 and the Styleware Printer setup file
doesn't work anymore. They are incompatible in some way.

I REALLY like the double-strike (darker) option, and I think that many
other people would really appreciate it as well. What I'd like to know
is whether you people at Apple realise this need and if you would be
willing to update the printer setup file to allow double-striking with its
standard imagewriter setup option file.

oh well, just a suggestion.

(BTW thanks a lot for posting the docs to the System Disk 3.2 update!)

PSUVAX1 can find host apple -

FROM PSUVAX1: Path to apple: lll-winken!ubvax!apple!username

From BITNET, send mail to keith@apple.UUCP (aka apple!keith@PSUVAX1 or
             keith%apple@PSUVAX1)

I don't have access to an Internet mailer, but my guess is that it can
resolve keith@apple.com, but if not ubvax!apple!keith@lll-winken.llnl.gov
should work.
