Dan Ackroyd had a very small bit part that began and ended
in about the ninth minute of the film. Remember at the
airport just after the big fight scene at the Club Obi-Wan
when Indy needed to get out fast? Well, Dan was the
customs agent who whisked Indy out to the plane
owned by the nasty guy who had just tried to kill him.

Dan Akroyd was the British fellow with the clipboard and khaki shorts who lined up the plane by which Indiana, Willy, and Short Round left Hong Kong. I assume he did not know that the bad guy owned the plane. Ariel (pay more attention next time) Shattan ..!tektronix!mako!ariels

Dan Aykroyd had the small role of the British airline official who met Indy and Company at the airport after their auto chase with the Chinese mobsters (?). I picked him up from the voice alone and stayed through the credits to verify it. Does anyone have any inside info about how he got this part? Are he and Spielberg buddies? <I saw him plain as day!> Dan Akroyd was the person who walked (or ran) to the plane with Indy and the other two. He was the one who arranged the flight out! He was wearing a mustache and you didn't get to see him head on (it was rather dark). I recognized the voice first! Nicki Lipp DEC Engineering decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-mariah!lipp

Right near the beginning of the movie, Akroyd was the guy who was waiting at the airport to get Indy on the plane. Doctor T.

Gee, I thought I'd mentioned Dan's role in my review. He was the guy at the airport gate who assured IJ that everything was just fine. I'll bet he volunteered for the job, exactly because he knew what trouble was coming.
