For those of you wishing for a hard disk to put inside your Apple // or attache
to your //c, you will probably want to pick up the latest issue of Incider
(October' 1988).
Page 6 has an ad from Chinook Technololgy Inc. of Longmont, Colorado advertising
their CT-20 and CT-30 twenty and thirty megabyte SCSI drives and a CT-20c,
their new twenty megabyte Smartport drive. This drive will work on any Apple //
that will support Apple's UniDisk 3.5 which includes the //c, //gs, and ][,
][plus, and //e with Unidisk controller card.
Those Apple // owners wanting an internal disk @ lower cost may wish to check
out the inside back page. Applied Ingenuity of Baldwin Park, Ca. has 20, 30,
and 50 meg internal hard drives for the Apple ][plus, //e and //gs.

I called Applied Ingenuity regarding their add in INCider. The Drives are indeed a new product and will not start to ship until October. Literature will not be available until after applefest. It would also appear if you read the add closely that this package includes a beefed up powersupply with a fan. Question is now who is willing to be a first useer and assess the reliability of this system. The prices quoted make this a very tempting offer. chris Shatara

If you take a close look at the drive it's a Seagate 238 a slow access(65 ms) drive. I hope they go for one of the newer 28 or 25 ms ones

Applied Ingenuity also sells a $39 stereo card, a $89? version of Checkmate's Ramkeeper, and other cheap goodies. Some very good deal.
