GS/OS as shipped will not recognize 5.25 inch disk drives. In order to enable
them, use the Installer on the /System.Tools volume, and install the Apple
5.25 disk script onto your startup disk (hard disk, whatever). DON"T DO THIS
ON YOUR ORIGINAL GS/OS STARTUP! Use a backup! After installing, reboot from
the modified startup disk and the 5.25s should show up. This works fine for
older Disk ][s off of a controller card, and I've heard that it works for
daisy chained drives as well. Good luck!
