[comp.sys.apple] GS/OS and UniDisk 3.5 tip

mdavis@pro-sol.cts.COM (Morgan Davis) (10/02/88)

If you have a white UniDisk 3.5 connected to the smart port (as the primary
device off the backplane) do NOT use the standalone UniDisk 3.5 driver that
you install with the Installer. Disk operations are markedly slower than
simply using no driver (in other words, use the generated driver).

P.S. If you press any key on the keyboard while GS/OS boots, you can see a
text screen that tells you the version of GS/OS proper and all of its
components. At the time of this writing, all versions are v02.00.
