[comp.sys.apple] PC Transporter: switch to "normal" speed

I was asked the following question by a new AE PC Transporter user and want to
forward it to the net since I have no experience with that piece of hardware:

Is  there  a  possibility  to reduce the speed of the V30 down to the standard
4.77  Mhz  of  an  IBM PC (or better the equivalent for the V30) to make "real
time  applications"  (games  ;-)  useable  ?   Maybe someone has a solution in
software  (an  interrupt  driven background process consuming more than 50% of
the CPU time for nothing) ?
