[comp.sys.apple] Still Struggling w/G-Sauce

The continuing saga of the unrecognized system disk...

I moved the Advanced Disk Utility (wow, it inits disks! 8-) ) onto /ram5,
and tried running it from there. No problems. Same deal with the Installer,
but it couldn't find any scripts while running there.

Immediately after running the Installer on /ram5, I tried ejecting my system
disk and running the Installer from the system.tools disk. It started up
nicely, and then decided to demand the system disk again. Perhaps someone
could explain WHY it needed to look at the disk at all? When I run things
from the /ram5 disk, it doesn't look at the system disk; it's almost as if
it needs a security blanket...

Once again, I have a GS, rom version 01, 768K of memory, and a single CPS
3.5" drive. The software is okay because it works off of a RAM disk.

Anyone? Keith?
