I had AE Pro and sold it along with my //e. Never was able to get the emulation to work right. I'm sure you've seen all the questions flying across the net on this... As for the A+ Readers Choice Award-Congrat's on that. I did like it with BBS's tho..Still doesn't mean its great. I'll leave the JIST of your first line alone.. Doesn't deserve a comment.. >If any customer of United Software has trouble or questions with a product, >they can simply call the toll-free customer support number for help. Have you been on Compuserve lately?? Maybe you can help some of your users on there also... >MouseTalk is NOT a replacement for AE Pro. Having tried MT1.3 at my dealer, I agree the mouse capabilities are nice. Just because it can do this I wouldn't state that its a //GS program tho. It still didn't take into account my extra memory for COPY/CAPTURE buffers. The VT52 emulation in MT 1.3 didn't work CORRECTLY either. Auto macros are nice tho on PT.. >MouseTalk and AE Pro have always been able to emulate a variety of terminals. >In particular, MouseTalk can mimic the characteristics of the ADDS Viewpoint, >ADM 3A, DEC VT-52, DEC VT-100/102, Hazeltine 1510, Heath 19, Zenith Z19, IBM >3101, Soroc IQ-120, Standard Apple //, Standard TTY, and Televideo 910/912. Like I said, the emulation for VT52 didn't work correctly. Did you fix this in version 1.5?? How well do you do the VT100 emulation. Was it TESTED ON A VAX? BTW the BEST VT100 emulation I've seen is Softerm II. Haven't seen anyone come CLOSE to it. Not even Proterm or Kermit... >> BTW your Mac or Amiga can't beat my VAXSTATION 2000 for anything!!!! >> >> Joe >An interesting, yet unwanted bit of commentary. Too bad you can't run >ProTerm on your VAX, eh? I look forward to bantering with you in the future >when you have your facts straight. Thank you. Morgan... The last unwanted commentary was inserted to stick up for the // line. To compare a // to a Mac/Amiga is like comparing them to a Vax.. Sorry you thought is was unwanted... I dont' need PT on my VAX tho. I use KERMIT, which works just fine.. Since you work for United Sftwr and I'm a user, I can understand that you didn't like MY opinion.. That's what makes the world go 'round... BTW: Thanx for spelling my name right :-) Joe Craparotta ps:The opinions expressed above are mine alone... If you don't agree with them just hit 'n' for next message...
