I have noticed several flames recently directed towards Morgan Davis because of his comments on Ascii Express and Mousetalk.. claiming he is biased since he works for United Software... Well, I would like to inject my 2 cents worth on the subject. Several months ago I had the pleasure of meeting Morgan at a party in Boston.. We wound up spending a considerable length of time talking that evening, and from what I learned of him that evening, and a few follow up exchanges of E-Mail, I will say that he is a very down to earth sort of chap. He does not have the type of ego that requires bragging of his acomplishments (and let me say folks, this guy has been programming for a long time, and is darned good at it), While he works for the company, he realizes that the products, as good as they may be, have some faults (what program is perfect?) and seems quite receptive to constructive comments of what would improve the products.. I have seen him here on the net offering to help others with problems not related to his companies products many times, and he has several times posted programming ways of finding or avoiding disk infection of a virus.. This indicates he is a giving person, which is more than many others are.. and I do not think he has to be biased to respond to a net post.. If you have a constructive factual comment on one of his companies products, I'm certain that he would like to hear about them, as would many of us on the net, but the important thing is that they be factual Looks like I wound up adding 75 cents worth instead of 2 cents....
