> Am I not correct when I state that MouseTalk is officially titled > "Ascii Express: MouseTalk"? It would seem to me that that would make it > sound like a "Mouse-ized" version of AE Pro... > > Please correct me if I'm wrong. > > -tuu It does sound that way. So I won't do any correcting. However, the "Ascii Express" has been dropped from the name as of MouseTalk version 1.50. This was done for a number of reasons. But first, the reason we even used it was because AE Pro had extremely successful name recognition (think marketing here). It was a good way to introduce a new, unknown product into the marketplace. This caused some trouble with dealers and consumers down the road. They kept asking for "Ascii Express" (meaning MouseTalk). To circumvent any further purchasing confusion, USII changed the SKU for the product to simply "MouseTalk". Regardless, it still stands that MouseTalk is NOT a mouse version of AE Pro. TRIVIA: Do you know that USII sells an MS-DOS telecom package patterned after AE Pro? It is called ASCII Express MS-DOS (AEMS), or simply ASCII Pro. --Morgan Davis United Software Industries, Inc.
