I think it resulted from some early trouble during the beta test and Quantum has maybe not been fully updated since the newer software has been around. I run my software with the printer settings totally normal and just forgot about what the Applelink manual says. As far as what's there, I agree, not a lot yet. It will get better only if people stick with it though. Most major online services dont "happen" overnight, and Applelink sure fits there. Things have been going well in my forum lately, and the other Apple // forums have some things of interest too.
