Hello all. I'm looking for information concerning printer usage on an Apple //c. Specifically, a friend has a //c that will be used for accounting, word processing, and Print Shop/Printmaster type banners and graphics. He only wants to get one printer, and has set his heart on a 24 pin printer, like a Panasonic KX-P1524 or Epson LQ series. He also is impressed with what he has seen of the H.P. DeskJet. Given that for text output, a 24 pin printer should work fine with AppleWriter or WordPerfect, and that it will also work well with Managing Your Money or other accounting package (at least for text output), does anyone out there know of a 24 pin printer capable of accepting graphics intended for a 9 pin Epson/ Okidata/Star/ImageWriter or equivalent, and printing them out such that they are the same size and aspect ratio (and at least as good quality) as the image printed by one of those 9-pins? Failing that, is there any kind of hardware interface (like the Grappler C/Mac/GS, but for 24 pin printers) that would provide the same functionality? Thanks in advance.
