~~~ My battery seems to be acting up, when I started it up yesterday morning, all my control panel settings were rest, & when I started it up today, the settinggs were again reset. How long is the battery expected to last? I thought it was five years? My Gs can't be that old, although it is one of the Woz edition models. My configuration: Woz edition GS, revision 01 ROM & VGC, 5.25 & 3.5 drives das\isy chained, modem connected to port, parallel card in slot one, MDIdeas stereo card in slot 3, 1.5Meg on a old AE GSRam card installed just recently on a Memory Saver card. Could the Memory saver be causing problems? I'm inclined to believe that the battery actually is failing because I recall hearing someone else on the net mention problems with the battery. Thanks for any info. poi boi -- "Mad as a hen wetter...goodbye and good day. From folks I have talked to on Compuserve, the batteries in the GS have lasted from a few weeks to 22+ months. Note that in the few weeks case, that was AFTER the battery had been replaced! -- Larry W. The battery may have been in your machine for only a few months, but how long was it stored before that. Seems to make sense, but I don't know if it is true. Mark Johnson
