I am using an IIe upgraded to a IIGS. Actually, it's a pre-release machine with (I guess) a proto-type board. Anyway, all of a sudden, the control panel does not save any of the changes I make in the settings (date, processor speed, etc.). I thought it might be a bad battery, but the battery has been replaced, and the problem is still there. Since the default setting for slot 7 (all settings are now frozen on defaults) is "your card", I am able to use my old 5.25" controller card there. Otherwise I would be unable to access many files stored on the 5.25" disks. I talked with a technician at an authorized Apple dealer, and he was comletely puzzled about this. He says he has never heard of such a thing. Anybody have any ideas? I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks, Bill ----------- These opinions are solely my own, but you can obtain a license to use them yourself. I offer very advantageous deals. -----------
