[comp.sys.apple] finder hanging bug

Keith -- thanks, good to know you have a handle on the problem.  (pun
not intended.)  (What is a Permanent INIT, by the way?)  I'll just have
to be content with reloading after I run that particular program, or
with moving the files to /RAM5 by hand.)

Something like "syseep", as opposed to "startpic".  Basically, something in
the system.setup directory which sticks around after booting is completed.
Macintoshes have "CDEV"s and "INIT"s which do various things on startup;
the terminology hasn't really crossed over to the Apple II world yet.
