Hello! I'm writing a tiny application using the 80-column screen that has a little editor as one part, and I'd like to use the mouse to move the cursor around. How do I figure out what character was under the cursor and restore it after the cursor moves away? How do I read the characters off the screen so that I can reprint them highlighted to select a chunk of text? It must be easy to do; virtually every application I've used does this. It's easy to do on the 40-column screen, you just add three zero-page bytes together to find the byte address of the cursor. I'm programming in Applesloth but I can cook up some assembler if I have to. Thanks, guys! -- +---------+ IIS Public Usenet | _ | From the Halifax, Nova Scotia | (_)===| Disk of ...
