I have been having repeated problems with GS/OS and my battery-backed up RAMfactor. GThese problems did not occur under System Disk 3.2 but are showing up under GS/OS. I am using the RAMfactor aZs the System Disk that I boot from. Everything works fine for a few days, and then problems develop. Mr. Fixit cannot fix the problems because the Block # is oiuut of rang e.Eventually, the RAMdisk is corrupted and I have to re-initialize it and copy the system files back onto it. It does not seem to affect particular files although my ICON folder's files have been messed up and the Finder shows pixels of the wrong color. My RAM card is OK according to the AE test utility. This has happened four times so far and I keep having to Initialize the RAM card and copInstall the mnenew System Files. Can anyone help me find the problem?? Chip Welch LWELCH@COLGATEU.BITNET

Do you have a driver for an AE ram drive? I haven't even heard if one has been written or not. It seems to me that there may be problems with GS/OS using the regular disk driver for a ram disk. Certainly not major problems, they are both ProDOS devices, but over time something might get corrupted. Any other ideas? Michael Woods
