[comp.sys.apple] Kermit Problems Again?

POLKOSNI@QCVAX.BITNET (11/21/88)

I have this problem with Kermit 3.84:I can't get it to work. It locks up during
connect if interupts are set on my serial card. It doesn't when interupts are
off, but it refuses to send any characters anyway (by looking at my TR and RD
lights). I have a Prometheus Seriall (compatible with SSC) and a Prometheus
Promodem 1200. Nothing seems to help, I tried flipping all my dipswitches to no
avail. I am running it off my hard disk. I have an enhanced //e. Any solution
anyone?

Thanks a lot for all the help with my problem with interrupts and Kermit. I just
received Kermit 3.85. (Haven't tried it yet). Ironic thing about this is that
Proterm's Kermit protocol does not always work, so actually, I would need to
use Kermit to d/l the Kermit exec files to my Apple. (I am going to have to put
them into a copy buffer instead (luckily I have extended memory)). O, and
by the way, my serial card is not a Prometheus (as I said in my original letter)
but it's a Practical Peripherals serial card. The modem is Prometheus though.
Thanks a lot and I will let you know the results.
