Speaking of vaporware (just read Sewall's latest) does anyone have any evidence that the so-called disk caching in GS/OS does any more than cache directory accesses? No matter what cache size I selct, I can't see any evidence that it caches file access -- and I'm using a program (WordPerfect) that runs on top of ProDos16, so presumably it would take advantage of it. Lets put it this way -- suppose I read a small file -- the hard drive lights flash. Suppose I read it again WITHOUT DOING ANY OTHER DISK I/O -- the lights flahs exactly the same as they did before.
