[net.movies] "The Candidate"

rdz@ccieng5.UUCP ( Robert D. Zarcone) (07/21/84)

I posted a question about this movie several days ago.
I did this because I believed this news group was to
promote the discussion of movies. It appears that
the real reason for this group is for "me too!" articles.
I don't mind someone sharing their feelings on a picture
they have seen. I also appreciate being warned not to
waste my money on something that is heavily promoted but
not worth seeing. But I can't understand why dozens of
people find it necessary to say "yeah, I saw him too!"
about any person or thing that is currently in a movie.

I am reasonably sure that anyone that has access to the net
has a relatively elevated level of intelligence. The "me
too!" articles seem to say that those with access don't
care to exercise that intelligence. I am sure that many
flames will be directed at me, if this article is read.
Please save the space for "Dan Akroyd and the Temple of
Doom" articles. I don't plan on comming back for awhile.
