Is there somewhere where I can get BLU off of ARPA (Internet)? I can't
get into BROWNVM, I don't think. If not, is there something else I can
get to unpack all those .BQY and .BNY files? Aaargh. Thanks.

If you can ftp, you can get files from LISTSERV@BROWNVM.BITNET by mail.

send the command

INDEX APPLE2-L

to LISTSERV%BROWNVM.BITNET@MITVMA.MIT.EDU for a list of what's available.

Also, Kevin Henigan got so frustrated trying to get files from a UUCP site
that he figured out how to get the //JOB facility to work. This is a bit
obtuse, and I don't know that it'll work from, say a Pro-Line site, but
you may want to send mail to LISTSERV%BROWNVM.BITNET@MITVMA.MIT.EDU
containing the following text -

//JOB1 JOB Reply-via=Mail,Reply-to="user%node@mail.forwarder"
INDEX APPLE2-L
//JOB1 EOJ

the Reply-to for a Pro-Line should be:

user%pro-whatever.cts.com@nosc.mil ** user = sender-id of course **

UUCP users who don't know their Internet mail forwarder, may find that

user%node.UUCP@PSUVAX1 will work. The trick is an address that works
FROM BITNET. If you receive the index, you can obtain files with

GET APPLE2-L yy-nnnnn lines in place of the INDEX command.

I uploaded a copy of both BLU.DOC and BLU.EXE to comp.binaries.apple2. Both of
these programs can be downloaded and exec from prodos if anybody wants them.
