I, too would recommend Kermit. Besides being free, its vt100 is excellent (as far as emulation on Apples goes). It lets you choose between vt100 cursor keys vs. non-vt100, whether you're emulating or not, and it automatically defines a pseudo-keypad with the open-apple key. much, much better than this open-apple-1 stuff for the '1 on the numeric keypad'! For every application which I have for the vt100 keypad, the key POSITIONS are what is important, not the labels on the keys. the fake keypad is great. Other big virtue of the program is it runs on an unenhanced //e and even a ][+. After you get Kermit up and running you might want to use it to download and try out Zlink. It has a few more features and lacks a few, but you can define a keypad similar to kermit's. Its user interface is also nicer. but it only works on enhanced //e's and better. Andy
