Happy New Year, I am a new Apple // GS owner and I have a problem. I am in the process of upgrading the memory expansion card to the max. However I bought Samsung 41256AP-15 memory chips (256K x 1) from Sabina a mail order house in California. After carefully instaling the chips, making sure I am grounded to prevent static discharge and installing the chips in the proper orientation; and putting in the jumpers the system failed to boot up from the GS system disk. Removing the jumpers the system works fine. The initial fault was a 308. This also happened in the store while I was looking at the display model which also had a full memory expansion card. ( System has total of 1.256 Meg) However when he turned the machine off and on the problem went away. I noticed that all the ram that is hardwired in the machine is 120 ns ram while the ones I have 150 ns However this shouldn't affect the machine operation because the CPU is running at less than 3 Mhz. Can anyone help me. Has anyone purchased chips from Sabina? Thanks in advance, Ronald
