Don't run AppleLink from a RAMdisk. AppleLink modifies a certain file each time you connect by putting a code number on it that is recorded on the host computer as well. If you call AppleLink with a version of the software that contains a connection code mismatch, it won't let you sign on! A RAMdisk is dangerous in that if you should lose power before copying the files onto less volatile media you might never be able to log back in. --Morgan Davis UUCP: crash!pnet01!pro-sol!mdavis ProLine: mdavis@pro-sol ARPA: crash!pnet01!pro-sol!mdavis@nosc.mil MCI Mail: 137-6036 INET: mdavis@pro-sol.cts.com APE, BIX: mdavis
