There are several places here (Ft. Worth) which sell original movie posters. The prices range from $5 (Attack of the Swamp Creature) to $250 (A "Revenge of the Jedi" poster with a misprint release date of May 25th). In fact, this one place sells movie posters, lobby cards, press kits, etc. for just about any movie out. A "press kit" for Ghostbusters sold for $50, which included stills from the movie, press releases, and a description of the movie all in the offical Paramount (?) folder. The funny thing is, on the bottom of all of these posters bears the warning: "WARNING: This movie poster is the property of the National Screen Guild Association and should be returned or destroyed after use. Resale is expressly prohibited." George Moore Tandy System Software UUCP: ...!allegra!convex!ctvax!trsvax!gm -or- ...!microsoft!trsvax!gm "A good repo man is always intense."

I used to work for a movie theater (GCC to be precise) and after a run, we would give the posters away to anyone who asked. Usually we got them ourselves. Sometimes the leasing company would request the posters back with the film. Whether this was all legal or not is beyond me. -- ...ihnp4!tellab1!steve Steve Harpster Tellabs, Inc.
