[net.movies] Romancing the Stone's Music

lindsay@utastro.UUCP (Lindsay McKinley) (07/16/84)

[I think; therefore, I am.]

Did anybody notice who wrote the theme music to Romancing
the Stone? (Particularly the recurring theme that played during
the final credits)

I just went to see the movie again and I had forgotten just
how good this music was. Is there an easy way to purchase it?

Please reply by mail as I'll be out of town for a while.

P.S. Please don't tell me Eddy Grant wrote it. His single
was never heard during the movie.

Information from Lotusland:

Music score from _R_o_m_a_n_c_i_n_g_ _t_h_e_ _S_t_o_n_e was by a guy named Allan Silvestri.
Easy way to purchase it? Probably not. On the other hand, the film will
be released by CBS/Fox Home Video in August, I believe.

When they are visiting the drug person it [the single] is the music in the
backround, according to a friend of mine.
