REWING@TRINCC.BITNET (02/05/89)
Just a word to our community here. The Applelink to Bitnet (and vice-versa) instructions given by Murph Sewall were created so that academic institutions could contact Apple people without having to always resort to actually getting on Applelink, which is sometimes not available to everyone on staff. Yes, you could send mail to my account (EWING@APPLELINK). Yes, you probably figured that there is nothing stopping you from sending something to John Sculley as well (like all these "Why don't we have a faster IIgs flames"). I'd *seriously* advise against it. If too many Apple top execs start getting mail from Bitnet regarding a disgruntled user, then the link that was set up can be quickly taken away. If you really want a message to be posted in that fashion to someone like him, send it to one of us (Keith or Larry or myself, and we'll decide whether or not it's appropiate enough to pass on. Thanks for everyone's co-operation on this. __________________________________________________________________________ |Disclaimer: Disclaimers are for sissies and...what??? Me???
