[comp.sys.apple] SYSTEM.TOOLS

bird@ihlpf.ATT.COM (Walters) (02/06/89)

When I bought my IIgs, they provided a disk and documentation
called, "SYSTEM TOOLS"

On that disk you are given the ability of installing drivers for
things like 5.25" disks.

The disk I received has a volume name of: SYSTEM.TOOLS2

That is the problem. If you try to invoke the INSTALL function the
program insists that the volume name must be SYSTEM.TOOLS

When I used COPY ][+ and renamed the volume to SYSTEM.TOOLS,
everything worked well.

Question: Is it the volume name that is wrong or the program?

My concern here is: is there a disk called SYSTEM.TOOLS that has
radically different files from SYSTEM.TOOLS2?
