RE trouble with Timeout series. The paint program has some pretty nasty bugs in it. The doc file warns of this and I suspect that that is why they are giving it away instead of charging 29.00 like they had originally announced. I have had other Timeout programs crash after I had ran it. I use it on a stand alone Appleworks disk with my fingers crossed. It's a very nice program, except for the bugs of course. P.S. The notes say that it has problems with an Apple // with an AE card. It does, but we had it crash repeatedly on a GS containing only the memory that had come with the machine. P.P.S. To use the mouse with Paint you have to have used Ultramacros to add mouse control to Appleworks. This is a minor problem though, in that Ultra is the most essential program in the series. (ok, IMHO)
