(remember the colon), get filename. Here's a warning. It may be
completely worthless by the time you read this. We just got a message
from systems staff this morning saying our internet connectivity is
*reaaaalllly* slow now. So, you may get refusals more often this weekend.
It should clear up pretty soon.
For those of you who are curious as to why U of M doesn't work quite the
same as everyone else... We're not really on the Internet. Just like
the NetNorth Bitnet sites which have some connectivity, we have a machine
which does the dirty work. Our 3090-600 is connected to a vax which
runs some specially written custom software to convert between internet
and IBM channel protocols. So, we're still in Beta-test. The site is
up more often (less refusals to connect) than in previous sites, but
we still want your criticisms and advice on commands to implement in
order to make our FTP as hearty as the rest of the world.
