[comp.sys.apple] any info on these rumors?

 1) several major vendors (such as MD Ideas) are pulling out of the
next planned Applefest. (Boston in May)

 2) Quantum (Applelink, Qlink etc.) is not making money as they thought they 
would, and may be having $$$$ problems.

Let me repeat, as the subject indicates, the above items are rumors, but
from pretty good sources, what I am looking for is anyone that might
have more information to either confirm or deny the rumors.
