WOW! You must enjoy being **flamed**

1) do ===> NOT <=== post program files (except maybe VERY VERY short
little things (say not more than 20 lines!!!) to info-apple which is
a DISCUSSION list (some systems will NOT except files of more than
10K or so, and many of our friends on UUCP pay by the kbyte (more or
less) and won't appreciate your spending their $$$ on programs they
can readily obtain elsewhere if they want it).

2) ShrikIt 0.95 --> WAS <--- mailed by APPLE2-L the afternoon of Jan 30
and IS available in that (and other) archive.

BTW the headers on your message indicate that you sent it only to BITNET
subscribers (I hope so, it'll cause MUCH less trouble that way). Your
first assignment *should you choose to accept it* is to find the instructions
that tell you what the correct address is (hint: read the headers)

Hi there, I was wondering if anybody has heard, knows, or seen anything
looking like a 27-page NuFX archives description for Shrinkit??
You see, after I received Shrinkit v0.95, and did all that you were supposed
to do to it(unpack....etc) There was a file called ShrinkIt.docs(or something
like that...) anyway, it was documentation for Shrinkit. In the document
it said the following:

"The files are NuFX archives, descriptions of which are available in a 27-page
document which I wrote finsihed earlier in december...."

Questions:

1) What is/are "NuFX" archives?
2) Is this document available to the public?

I would *REALLY* appreciate a reply, from anyone who knows *ANYTHING* about all
this!

Thanks for your time....

NuFX is a format for storing multiple "records" within a file. Each
record may represent (at the moment) a File (including files with a resource
fork) or a Disk. There's more to the description (obviously - this won't be
27 pages long :), but that should pretty much do it. ShrinkIt is a program
that uses the NuFX storage format... I'm not sure if Andy wants the document
released to the public yet - it's not completely stable yet (pretty close,
tho').
