GS and I just went to see this (and he'll probably warn you too). He
won some tix to a sneak preview that WBCN in Boston was doing. Boy, am
I glad I didn't have to pay for this flick!! Bad stuff for a diet.
We're talking ham and corn, in large amounts. Tanya Roberts may be
beautiful, but any acting talent she might have (I don't know, I gave up
on C.A. a long time before she came around) was carefully hidden.
Judging from the way people delivered their lines (calling it delivery
is being kind), I would blame the directory. They just didn't convince
me that they were real people. The script had some problems in spots,
too, like bad continuity and lame dialogue. The people in the audience
were laughing like crazy at how bad the acting was at a few points.
Sure, there were a couple of memorable scenes, but not enough to make
me forget the bad ones. Okay, maybe I'm being a little harsh since I've
seen in this last week Dr. Detroit (Saturday, thought it was pretty funny),
Revenge of the Nerds (Monday, a must-see, I may review it later), and
Red Dawn (Tuesday, another must-see, which I *will* talk about later).
I just had to get this out so all you people who were planning on
catching this flick opening weekend would have a chance to avoid it.
Of course, you do get some good shots of Tanya naked, but that hardly
made it worthwile.
