Is the new version of ShrinkIt going to support one drive? How about BinSCII? I've been having trouble unpacking HyperC because I blew up my //c and I can't attach another drive (I only blew up the drive controller, or part of it -- the internal drive works ok). I managed, through much copying of files to /RAM, to run the entire thing through BinSCII. However, this doesn't help me with ShrinkIt. I have 2 drives on my //e, but it's unenhanced. I thought about sending the SHK file to someone with 2 drives to unpack, then he could use a different disk packer (one which worked with 1 drive or ran on the unenhanced //e) but I can't find one of these. How hard is it to make a program say "volume not found. please insert correct disk or press <esc> to exit" and wait for your answer, INSTEAD of just saying "Volume not found" and ending!!? Some of us don't mind disk swapping if it's the only way... by the way, the disk swapping in this case wouldn't have been too much. I DID kinda have 2 drives working, only problem is when both were attached, NEITHER would write a thing... the drive would sure go through the motions though! Seems binscii would have only required 1 swap after it found its volumes... shrinkit didn't take too much more either. Andy art100@psuvm.bitnet / a1t@ecl.psu.edu
