I have heard a lot of talk about the Laser 128 lately and I am wondering how good it really is. I am thinking about investing in a dozen of them instead of the IIE. I would appreciate any feed back I could get about them. I will specifically be using Appleworks and other ProDos programs and need to know if the Laser can handle it. Also, any suggestions on where to get them at reasonable prices. I have seen them advertised for around $400. Please respond via email to DCANFIELD@BYUVAX Thanks, Dan Canfield #! rnews

For "around $400" you can get //c's from 47th Street in NYC. My experience with 47th (rather positive, but I've never bought a computer from them) is that if you're planning to buy a dozen or so of anything, they'll deal on their already pretty reasonable prices. 47th Street is NOT an "authorized Apple dealer" which may cause some problems if you need warranty service (except 47th will substitue their own warranty which covers pretty much the same thing(s)).
