The Mad Apple Forth Utilites disk that I put onto comp.binaries.apple2 was a Forth *BLOCK* oriented disk.. that is, it is not Prodos, or DOS 3.3, or CP/M, or Pascal, or... To use it, just boot Forth up and stick the Utilities disk in slot 6, drive 1. Then use 1 LI to see what is on the disk - screen 2 may also contain more. There is a version of Forth using a single file (tacked onto the end) as a block device, but I'm not yet satisfied with it. Rather kludgey if you ask me.. I'm still working on it. The best book, which almost any Forth "enthusiast" will recommend, for beginners is "Starting Forth" by Leo Brodie. The Editor in MAF closely approximates the one in this book. I discovered that there *WERE* some utilities that I did not include that are needed (for some words like SAVE") - these are some of the ones from the old DOS 3.3 Mad Apple Forth that I converted to Prodos (using Forth of course!). I will see if I can put those onto comp.binaries.apple2 soon.
