There are a few undocumented features (2) in II+ UnShrinkIt that I should mention before I fall asleep here: II+ UnShrinkIt will test for corrupted archives while it is listing the contents of that archive. In ShrinkIt 1.1, if you try to list the contents of a corrupted archive, ShrinkIt will freak out and display garbage. Almost the same holds true for the (U)nshrink function -- it, too will display garbage. II+ UnShrinkIt differs in that it will stop at the first corrupted header in the archive which it finds and only allow you to selectively extract from those uncorrupted records *BEFORE* the corrupted record. ShrinkIT 1.1's strange behavior has been fixed and will be apparent in a future version. To get a prompted extraction on an Apple II+, press "P" while II+ UnShrinkIT is listing the archive. An inverse asterisk ("*") will apear beside the filename. Otherwise, pressing <Open-Apple>-Space will allow for prompted extraction. Just pressing <space> will allow for unprompted extraction. Yes, II+ ShrinkIT is being worked on... just not at this moment. I'll have the staff contact me in the morning. :-) andy ---- Andy Nicholas CsNET: shrinkit@moravian.edu Box 435, Moravian College InterNET: shrinkit%moravian.edu@relay.cs.net Bethlehem, PA 18018 liberty!batman!shrinkit@sun.com ---- UUCP: rutgers!lafcol!lehi3b15!mc70!shrinkit I have a CD player, send CD's. rutgers!liberty!batman!shrinkit I have a IIgs, send a GS+.
