Gee, does anybody need _more_ proof than that? :-) (I do.)
Actually, if you take the statement literally, I agree with it: the
Apple II's days can indeed be numbered. We can start with "1" way
back when it came out. Based on the "copyright 1977" on the old
Apple II ROM, I guess were currently on about 4300, and counting....

Conclusion: They are _not_ going to dump it. Brilliant, eh?

I would be extremely surprised to see the Apple IIgs or Apple IIc+ go
away. Maybe the IIe will--I really have no idea. It wouldn't be a
problem if it did, in my opinion, since you could just get a IIc+ if
you don't want slots and a IIgs if you do.

Ditto here. I'll wait until I see my A+ come in the mail. If the statement
is true, and if it ends up being an InCider-type mag, it's out the door.
A+ has been consistently one of the finest magazines. Remember the days
when InCider (I think it was called InCider way back when) had lots of
programs for graphics, program cheats (wish I had had that issue with the
Ultima III cheater), and useful information!?!?

As far as the number of days the Apple II has been numbered, I'd agree,
4300 or so sounds pretty accurate. Sure beats the couple of hundred (if
that much) for the PCjr :-)
