I don't know if this would have been possible to do (economically or
technically) but I would like to have seen the entire slow side handled
a little better. Possible, in the control panel under speed, you would
have been able to select speed of the fast side, and speed of the slow side.
Have the slow side at 1Mhz whenever using old II stuff but when you use
GS specific software, switch the fast side over to 2.8. As I said before
I don't know if it is/was possible to do this, but you've gotta admit,
it WOULD speed things up. Maybe even make it possible for accelleretor
cards to speed up both the fast side, and the slow side. yes, I know this
would have caused a lot of confusion but I think it would have been worth it
