$E0 already has an approved filetype. It's LBR for Library. I presume
that's why Andy chose that particular type. You can see this in BLU
or Cat Doctor.

What I'd like to see in ProDOS 8 optionally use the various filetype
acronyms once Apple finishes standardizing on them. Some Applications
use them, but some do not. Personally, when I see a list of $B8 and
$B9 files, it's requires more forethought than if I see CDA and NDA.
Reason why it matters: Kermit-65 is a ProDOS 8 program which I use for
most of my file transfers. It's especially difficult when someone wants
to get GSCLOCK (the CDA) and GSCLOCK (the NDA) at the same time.

I didn't chose it, Apple DTS did, for me. I had originally wanted to use
filetype $AE because it's the first 2 initials in my name, but the DTS
people nearly had a fit when they heard they were about to lose another
filetype because some idiot just 'wanted his own.' The same thing
happened with the author of DD Deluxe, Louis Roy, "stealing" filetype
$DD.
