It's LBR for Library. I presume that's why Andy chose that particular type. You can see this in BLU or Cat Doctor. What I'd like to see in ProDOS 8 optionally use the various filetype acronyms once Apple finishes standardizing on them. Some Applications use them, but some do not. Personally, when I see a list of $B8 and $B9 files, it's requires more forethought than if I see CDA and NDA. Reason why it matters: Kermit-65 is a ProDOS 8 program which I use for most of my file transfers. It's especially difficult when someone wants to get GSCLOCK (the CDA) and GSCLOCK (the NDA) at the same time. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Todd A. I had originally wanted to use filetype $AE because it's the first 2 initials in my name, but the DTS people nearly had a fit when they heard they were about to lose another filetype because some idiot just 'wanted his own.' The same thing happened with the author of DD Deluxe, Louis Roy, "stealing" filetype $DD. > Todd A.
