Thank you to everyone who had the courtesy to reply to my request for help
with my problems with Print Shop and the Companion.
I just bought a new program, called Award Maker +, which also did not print
out properly on my computer/printer setup, although I tried it out in the
store before bringing it home. Since I couldn't imagine that my Epson printer
wasn't interpreting the control codes correctly, I borrowed a more standard
interface card (a Grappler +) from a friend and tried it. Once I plugged it
in and reconfigured my software, both Print Shop and Award Maker + work
fantastically! The problem seemed to be in my Star Micronics GrafStar printer
interface card not passing on the graphics codes correctly, whether or not the
Most Significant Bit switch was off.
