I need the address for claris. I just found out from my dealer that they took over appleworks. I need an upgrade I have version 1.1 and just today I made it crash (first time I ever did that). A phone number might also be helpful. Is there anything else I should know? I have an early //c (1984) it doesn't support uni-disk. Is there currently any IIe that runs at the speed of a //c+? I would like to expand to ms-dos compatibility, at least so I can read data files. If apple would develop the IIe so it could have better graphics, sound, and 16 or 32-bit processing while retaining compatibility with 8-bit then it become a serious machine. | ____ | Scott Hollingsworth (deadhead) (GXH101@PSUVM.BITNET) | // %/\\ | RD 2 Box 378 | || %/ || | Ebensburg, PA 15931 | \\%___// | | \^/\^/ | | :::: |

It's called the ][gs. Uses 3.5 disks like the //c+, allows MS-DOS (I have a PC Transporter card from Applied Engineering in mine), runs faster than a //c+ with AE's Transwarp GS card (on 8 bit software), has better graphics, much better sound, and it runs 16 bit software. Whether it is serious or not depends on Apple's future commitment to the entire Apple ][ line. > | ____ | Scott Hollingsworth (deadhead) (GXH101@PSUVM.BITNET) > | // %/\\ | RD 2 Box 378 > | || %/ || | Ebensburg, PA 15931 > | \\%___// | > | \^/\^/ | > | :::: | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Todd A. No, there's no //e that runs as fast as a //c+. I'm sure that there's people here that'll tell you the //c is a serious machine, as is the //e and the //gs etc... but I digress. Hope you get the info/software you need. -- Scott Lindsey |"Cold and misty morning. There are, however, //e's with Rocket chips in them that are FASTER
than the //c+ :-)

it came fully loaded.
It was guaranteed for 90 days,
